Anastasia Tramontozzi is a criminal defense lawyer in Winston-Salem. She has extensive experience handling a variety of domestic violence, assault, and gun charge cases. This includes assault on a female, simple assault, assault on a child, assault with a deadly weapon, and domestic violence protective order violations. If you’re searching for a resilient and honest attorney to have your back, contact Anastasia today.
Anastasia grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts, and knew by the age of 12 she was going to be an attorney.
“I grew up in a dynamic household composed of educators, musicians, social workers, lawyers and judges. Many of my immediate and extended family members’ lives benefited from the skill of those lawyers and judges. Witnessing them at work I learned the importance of the knowledge of the law; and the vigor, resilience and dedication required to successfully represent the interests of clients.” – Attorney Anastasia Tramontozzi
Anastasia Tramontozzi graduated with high honors and earned a double degree in philosophy and political science from The College of The Holy Cross in Massachusetts. She studied international relations and philosophy at St. Andrews University in Scotland throughout her junior year. Before attending Elon Law School in Greensboro, North Carolina, Anastasia worked as a paralegal for a real estate law firm in Massachusetts. Additionally, she spent several years as a legal research assistant for a personal injury firm in Melrose, Massachusetts.
While at Elon Law, Anastasia volunteered as a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem for two years, which prepared her to advocate for the rights of marginalized and vulnerable populations. She held a judicial clerkship at the Suffolk County Juvenile Courthouse in Boston and served as a public defender in Forsyth County. She represented clients in numerous legal matters, including breaking and entering, larceny, traffic violations, as well as representing juveniles in various criminal proceedings.
“I understand the necessity for lawyers to challenge the legal system and engage in the practice of improving the application of laws. As a criminal defense attorney, I can do just this, while ensuring that the State meets its burden from start to finish.” – Attorney Anastasia Tramontozzi
Anastasia’s experience in criminal defense has made her highly aware of numerous misconceptions her clients have about the law. One critical misconception, that often leads people to not seek out legal representation, is that admitting to a crime automatically makes them guilty in the eyes of the law. This is simply not true. The State must prove you committed the offense beyond a reasonable doubt.
A prime example is when Anastasia represented a woman charged with a drug-related DWI. The woman had essentially admitted to overdosing on medication while sitting in her vehicle immediately after she had been in an accident. Anastasia met with her and learned that this woman had been fleeing from a toxic and abusive relationship. While she couldn’t erase all her hardships, Anastasia knew she could be her voice in court. Fortunately, upon taking the case to trial, the State was unable to prove Anastasia’s client had been appreciably impaired while driving. So, our client was able to walk out of the courtroom victorious that day.
Anastasia is committed to engaging with individuals from all walks of life while providing each client with quality representation. Since joining the McMinn, Fradin, Gray & Logan criminal defense team, Anastasia has rapidly earned the trust of our clients with her honesty and determination to achieve a favorable outcome. Anastasia will quickly put you at ease as she gives you her undivided attention to your personal needs and legal concerns. She’ll be straightforward about your options while providing you with the reassurance you need. Contact Anastasia Tramontozzi to discuss your case without delay.
Outside the courtroom, Anastasia plays music. She has played trumpet internationally with student and local group jazz bands, as well as throughout college. Anastasia has also performed vocally in numerous theatre performances and is classically trained in piano performance.
